Ken Mosley and Rick Renninger

Ken Mosley and Rick Renninger have been partnering in business since 1985 beginning with process engineering, design and manufacturing of wastewater equipment. Their focus was Dissolved Air Floatation (DAF) Technology. DAF technology was popular wastewater treatment to capture solids and chemically and mechanically remove the solids from the waste stream. They used their knowledge to pursue the recovery of solids with protein values from food waste facilities.

Funded by Auburn University, they researched the possibility of recovering animal by product material and dehydrating these materials. In 2011, they were awarded the ABVRS patent along with holding valuable trade secret information related to the chemistry and processes required to recover these feed materials. In 2013 they began working on the first full scale system, which began operations in Illinois in 2014. In 2018, the Environmental Protection Agency certified the facility.
